History

While this craft beer and food truck event may be the first of its kind, events celebrating Madeiran Portuguese heritage have been around since 1915. The Feast of the Blessed Sacrament is an annual four-day Portuguese cultural festival, celebrating Portuguese heritage and pride with food, drinks, and some of the best live entertainment. Held at Madeira Field in New Bedford, Massachusetts, this annual celebration is recognized as the largest festival of Portuguese culture in the world and the largest ethnic festival in New England.

The 106th Annual Celebration has been moved to August 4-7, 2022.

Club Madeirense S. S. Sacramento Charitable Foundation, Inc. is proud to be an all volunteer organization that has raised and contributed hundreds of thousands of dollars to charities in the SouthCoast community.
