Unwrap the Magic this Holiday Season!

Here at SoCo Living, we know how important it is to support local. We love the small boutiques, shops and festivals around town, especially during the holiday season! Are you looking for some fun local activities around the #SouthCoast? Well, you’ve come to the right place! Keep reading to learn more about local festivals and shopping events that are happening this weekend on December 3rd and 4th!

All That Glitters hosted by The Lakeville Arts Council

Support your local crafters at “All that Glitters” Holiday Shopping at Loon Pond Lodge at Ted Williams Camp hosted by The Lakeville Arts Council. The LAC’s mission is to encourage and support the arts and culture as a vital part of our community. There will be crafters selling their one-of-a-kind, handmade crafts at this special event such as acrylic paintings, candles, cards, photography and more! Give as a gift for a special someone or perhaps a gift for yourself!

Live musical entertainment will be playing both Friday, December 3rd and Saturday, December 4th to keep you in the holiday spirit. Learn more about “All that Glitters” here!

Lights On Festival 2021 – Taunton, MA

The City of Taunton is excited to welcome you back to the Lighting of the Green & Lights On Festival! This annual community celebration features live entertainment, food trucks, fireworks, kids activities and its magical display of holiday lights on the Historic Taunton Green.  “Unwrap” the magic this holiday season! The Lights On Festival is happening Saturday December 4th from 3:00PM – 8:00PM and the display will be up through January 2nd. This event is FREE to all who visit.

dNB’s Holiday Stroll

Kick off the Holiday Season in Downtown New Bedford on December 4th from 12PM – 5PM! Shop small, eat local and enjoy the art, music, and fun holiday fare throughout downtown New Bedford. From antique fire truck rides to a cosmic bike parade and a special Santa sighting, there is something for all ages.

Middleborough Christmas Market Fest – Middleborough Town Hall

Middleborough Tourism Committee and May Flower Masonic Lodge present the Christmas Market Fest and Tree Lighting! This event will take place rain or shine as it will be held in the 2nd floor Auditorium/Ballroom from 12PM – 5PM on Saturday, December 4th. There will be vendors, hot cocoa and cookies and of course, the chance to meet Santa!

 

Westport- 7th Annual Holiday Fair

Head on over to Westport High School this Saturday, 12/4 from 9:00AM – 3:00PM! The WES-MAC PTO is bringing back its Holiday Fair featuring over 40 vendors, photos with Santa, kids holiday shopping, food and MORE!

The Holiday Shoppe is the perfect place for the kids to shop! Children 12 and under will walk with an assigned elf guide to secretly shop for family and friends on their Holiday list. Each child must be separately registered with their own name. Shopping time typically lasts between 15-30 mins per child. Learn more about The Kids Shoppe here!

 

Dartmouth- Padanaram Holiday Stroll

Looking for another fun holiday event with your family and friends? Visit Padanaram this weekend for their Holiday Stroll!  Many stores and restaurants are taking part in the festivities. See more information about the Holiday Stroll here!

How cool is this buoy tree? The tree is located near Gulf Rd. before the bridge! It’s even cooler in person. In the area this weekend? The tree will be officially lit by Massachusetts L. Gov., Karyn Polito, Saturday, Dec. 4 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.  This event is FREE for all ages!
